She currently serves as an advisor to the TAAN executive body.
Since 2008, Yankila Sherpa has served as Vice President of the Trans Himalayan Environment and Livelihood Program (T-HELP) Nepal. This non-profit organization addresses environmental issues and improves livelihoods in the Himalayan region. Snow Leopard Trek collaborates with T-HELP to promote sustainable energy, income generation, and indigenous communities’ empowerment.

Exploring the Everest Region
Resting in between Mt. Kanchenjunga and the Langtang National Park the world highest mountain, Mt. Everest has been the greatest attraction for those who prefer adventure and desire to challenge the high mountain ranges. In the Everest Region of Nepal, there are so many famous places to explore such as; Lukla, Namche Bazaar, Phakding, Jorsale, Syangboche, Pangboche, Tengboche, Pheriche, Lobuche, Gokyo Lake, Kongma La Pass, Cho La Pass, Renjo La Pass, Kala Pattar and of course Everest Base Camp.
Trekking in the Everest region offers several famous routes for adventure lovers such as; the Kanchenjunga base camp trek, Makalu base camp trek, Arun Valley Trek, Everest trekking package, Rolwaling trek and the Gokyo trek. Besides striking mountain views, the Everest region treks are renowned for its inhabited ethnic (especially Sherpa) people’s generosity (as they are so friendly, welcoming, and hardworking) and humming activity, where travellers can explore these mountain people’s cultures, traditions, lifestyles, their beliefs and much more.

Exploring the Annapurna Region
The Annapurna Region, a popular trekking region in the majestic Himalayas of Nepal. There are so many famous short and long hiking and trekking trails within the Annapurna area including the Annapurna Circuit, the Jomsom Muktinath Trek, the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek, the Mustang Trek, the Tilicho Lake Trek, the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, the Mardi Himal Trek, and the Royal Trek. This amazing Annapurna valley trek also offers one of the world highest lakes namely Tilicho Lake and newly founded ice Lake.
The Annapurna area, still the most visited region in Nepal, was inscribed as a Conservation Area in 1986 and it covers 7,600 sq. km of Nepal. Due to its easy access of guest houses, hotels with hygienic food, incredible scenery, high spectacular Annapurna mountain range, low lands, and the majestic best Himalayan views, around two-thirds of visitors explore this region every year.

Exploring the Langtang Region
Langtang region located nearby the Kathmandu valley, is one the best places for trekking in Nepal, and accessible by land or helicopter. Known to be the first National Park in Nepal, the Langtang exits of green valleys, huge glaciers, high-altitude mountain passes and rural villages. Walking in Circles together with Skyline will make sure you will get the best experience while doing a Langtang Himal trek. While the main Langtang trek route starts just about 30 km from Kathmandu, your sherpa team will make sure you will get the best service and guidance during your trek in Nepal.
As Langtang Nepal is less popular then Everest Trekking or Annapurna trekking, the trails are unspoiled and trekkers can enjoy the area without any disturbances. Langtang trekking package offers a variety of treks. Most common are the Helambu trek or the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek, but we strongly believe in making new routes to discover untouched places and give your valley hike an even more unique experience! Trekking in the Langtang region of Nepal is a great way to get familiar with Nepal’s great outdoors. The trails lead up and down, through and over rivers, passing stunning glaciers and go through rustic and traditional Langtang villages. Walking across the old trade route between the Ganesh and Langtang Himalayas and visiting Gompas and prayer points on high ridges makes the Langtang mountain range so attractive.
Langtang valley is also home to various high-altitude lakes, reflecting the surrounding snow capped mountains in their crystal clear water. One of the most famous lakes in the Langtang valley from Kathmandu Nepal is Lake Gosaikunda. With its beautiful turquoise-coloured water this lake is one of the major highlights! A perfect place to escape from the busy cities, the Langtang area is one of the best places to visit in Nepal.
