Walking in Circles is all about getting outdoors, taking on challenges and having adventures on foot. I share walking routes, hiking guides, challenge training advice and stories from my own adventures — from UK trails and London walks to trekking in Nepal.
You’ll also find downloadable guides, live guided walks, private and corporate walking challenges, and plenty of practical advice to help you plan your own adventures.

Walking in Circles was created by me, Marc Jerrard. I’m a keen hiker, challenge walker, author and occasional mountain obsessive, fitting my adventures around a normal full-time career.
What started as a way of sharing my walks and experiences has grown into Walking in Circles UK — with hiking resources, challenge advice, guided walks and stories from adventures in the UK and further afield.

The Challenge Zone is designed to help you find your next walking challenge and prepare for it. It includes an extensive list of UK and international hiking challenges, alongside practical training advice for marathon-distance walks, 50km challenges and 100km ultra challenges.
You’ll also find advice on training, kit, fuelling, pacing and what to expect on the day — much of it based on my own experience of taking on long-distance walking challenges.

Yes. I organise and lead a range of guided walking experiences, from the London Monopoly Tour Challenge to longer-distance private group challenges such as the Surrey 3 Peaks.
I can also create bespoke walking challenges for private groups and organisations, with routes and logistics tailored to the group, distance and type of challenge.

Yes. The London Monopoly Tour Challenge is available as a live guided walk, taking you around the famous locations from the Monopoly board on foot.
You can join one of the scheduled public walks or enquire about arranging a private Monopoly Challenge for your own group. The full route is around 25km and typically takes approximately 6½ hours to complete.

Yes. Walking in Circles offers private and corporate walking challenges for groups looking for something a little different — whether that’s a team challenge, fundraising event or simply a memorable day out together.
I can provide a guided existing challenge or work with you to create something bespoke, including route planning, logistics and GPX mapping.
